A classical education sounds like a great idea (if you have only one kid and a maid), but text books are so easy to manage. You are doing a great job. You really shouldn't be so hard on yourself.Denahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16108368860265539014noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5774684183746957300.post-57292531533450866432009-05-04T12:09:00.000-05:002009-05-04T12:09:00.000-05:00I love your honesty M. We just came out of a week ...I love your honesty M. We just came out of a week long rain and I so understand the mood. When I can get out in the sunshine my complete outlook on life changes. I relate to everything you said and think you are an amazing wife and mother. I hope God provides a solution to you and Keith being able to fill your well and rejuvinate your spirits again. I also understand the dream of the way you chose your homeschooling books and the feeling you have about them now. I felt that way with Brianna from about 5th grade on. I was so excited to be teaching in this creative way only to feel I robbed her at the end of each year. You know all that was going on in our house with babies and jobs and I felt like every week she was not getting enough from me. That being said you should know the issues she has had this year in public school for the first time, being in 8th grade have had nothing to do with the actual school work. She was on target and has done just as well as her classmates and according to her teachers has better work habits. The troubles we have had all have to do the general lack of character the children surrounding her at her school have. We have leaned on our trust in God and learned how to turn hurtful situations into a positive work for the Lord, learned new approaches to communicating and directing the heart of our teenage daughter and feel we have ultimately won the battle for this year. Do not kid yourself for one minute into thinking that what you do is not a huge benefit to your children. They are getting what you can give at this moment which is so much more that what anyone else can give. Keep on trudging and eventually the trudge will become a sprint then the sprint a run and you will eventually be the conqueror of all you wish to do with them. Hang in there friend. I love you-MichelleBeck Familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15672282009854152435noreply@blogger.com
